New Delhi: The current conflict in Russia and Ukraine has produced instability all across the world. The escalating tensions between the two countries have resulted in the deployment of armed personnel.
In the midst of this upheaval, several celebrities have expressed their concern on social media. Gauahar Khan, Bigg Boss 7 winner and actor, has joined them in calling for strong action against 'bigotry' and 'injustice.'
She tweeted a video and wrote, “Common sense ! Stand against bigotry , war , injustice, hatred ! Stop it all.”
Gauahar Khan also shared a lengthy statement on her Instagram story in which she pleaded for the innocent people of Ukraine. The actress closed her statement on the big events taking place in the globe by urging people to combat 'division and hatred.'
She penned, “We All Know Who The Dangerous Leaders Are We Ignore Or Be Silent. Until They Decide To Finally Show Who They Really Are N What Their Intentions Have Been Forever! Putin Showed Up Finally. I Pray For #Ukraine It's The Saddest. But The World Stayed Quiet On Soooo Many Countries Being Destroyed. Libya, Syria. Palestine, Afghanistan N So Many More. Watch Out For The Fascist Leaders! And Act! Act Against Bigotry. Act Against Injustice, Fight Against Division And Hatred.”
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Russian President Vladimir Putin to seek a peaceful resolution to the problem. According to Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, 4,000 Indians residing in Ukraine have been evacuated.
