Ex-supermodel Linda Evangelista has filed a USD 50 million lawsuit over her cosmetic surgery gone wrong. She said that because of the procedure, she has been "brutally disfigured" and her livelihood has been completely destroyed. Linda was one of the big names in the fashion world.

In the 80s-90s, Linda's name was taken with supermodels like Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, who not only walked the ramp but were also regularly featured on magazine covers.

Through a post on Wednesday, Linda said that her fans think "Why am I not working while my peers are getting so much of work, the reason for it being Zeltiq's CoolSculpting procedure which has distorted me completely.

She claimed that because of the procedure she now suffers from a rare side effect called Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH) which causes swelling in the area where surgery was done. This disease has not only taken away her work but has also pushed her into the darkness of depression and suffering.

After five years of silence, Linda has now made up her mind to take up the case in court. She on Tuesday, accused Zeltiq Company of negligence, misleading advertising, and not warning customers about possible side effects in Federation Court of New York The lawsuit filed on her behalf says Linda underwent several surgeries between 2015 and 2016 to reduce fat on her thighs, stomach, back, sides and chin but it did not work.

Linda has demanded 50 million in lieu of the crisis that has descended upon her. According to her, she was a successful model but has not earned anything from modeling since 2016.
