New Delhi: The year 2020 has not been very kind to the human race owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the whole world is awaiting to get vaccinated for coronavirus, preparations for the introduction of vaccine have also started in the country. While many people have got COVID-19 vaccine in different countries, Bollywood's well-known actress Shilpa Shirodkar recently revealed in one of her social media posts that she has got herself vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Shilpa Shirodkar took to her Instagram and shared a picture of herself wearing a mask. In the picture, a patch can be spotted on her left arm. The ‘Khuda Gawah’ actress shared that she has been vaccinated and is safe. Sharing the picture, Shilpa wrote, “Vaccinated and safe !! The new normal .. here i come 2021. Thank you UAE”.

Her sister Namrata Shirodkar commented on her post and wrote, ‘Good girl’.



Shilpa Shirodkar made her debut with the 1989 Ramesh Sippy’s film ‘Bhrastachar’ alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. She then appeared in other hit films including ‘Khuda Gawah’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Pehchaan’, ‘Gopi Kishan’, ‘Bewafa Sanam’, ‘Mrityudand’ among others. Her last film appearance was in the 2000 movie ‘Gaja Gamini’ as she decided to quit acting after her marriage with UK based banker Aparesh Ranjit.

After a break of 13 years from the show business, Shilpa made her comeback on Television with Zee TV’s show ‘Ek Mutthi Aasmaan’.

Shilpa Shirodkar is the younger sister of Namrata Shirodkar and the daughter of Marathi actress Gangu Bai.
