New Delhi: After stunning the audience with her amazing performance in ‘Modern Love Mumbai’, Fatima Sana Shaikh is now gearing up for playing a real-life character in her upcoming film 'Sam Bahadur.’ The film also stars Vicky Kaushal and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. The actors have headed to Jodhpur for the shoot of their film. 


The actress took to Instagram to post a picture with her co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub from a flight as she jokingly calls them 'Ache Bache.’ Moreover, the cast of the film seems to share great chemistry with each other which is quite visible off-screen, leaving us to wait for the magic they will create on the screen. 




'Sam Bahadur' will feature Fatima in a never seen before avatar, portraying the character of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.  


Excited to embark on this journey, Fatima had earlier said, “It's a huge honour to be a part of such an inspiring story of one of the greatest war heroes of our nation. I hope those who haven't heard of Sam Manekshaw will remember him forever once they watch Sam Bahadur," 


Along with Sam Bahadur Fatima Sana Shaikh has an interesting lineup of films and she will also be seen in 'Dhak Dhak' directed and co-written by Tarun Dudeja, co-produced by Taapsee Pannu, Pranjal Khandhdiya and Ayush Maheshwari. 


'Sam Bahadur' is based on the life of the legendary Chief of the Army Staff and Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The film is directed by 'Chhapaak' filmmaker Meghna Gulzar and also casts Sanya Malhotra as Sam Manekshaw's wife Siloo Manekshaw. It is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. 


Sam Manekshaw's army career spanned four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.
