Naveen was killed when he stepped out of his bunker for exchanging currency and getting some food.

The deceased's father alleged that nobody from the Indian consulate arrived at the students trapped in Kharkiv, which is facing hostilities. Naveen was in the fourth year of his course in Kharkiv Medical college.

The Union Government has launched 'Operation Ganga' to bring back stranded students and Indian citizens from the conflict-torn Ukraine.

The government has also deployed special envoys to four neighbouring countries bordering Ukraine to coordinate and oversee the evacuation process of Indian nationals.
