Content creation has become a rage in the world of social media with a plethora of digital creators bombarding our feed with their content. Charlie is a digital content creator, who is amassing huge following courtesy his unique take on Indians and their style.

As much cliche as it may sound, Biharis have a unique way of talking that makes them stand out wherever they go. Having said that, one can well imagine what rage Charlie must be creating with his Korean identity and his on-point Bihari swag. Charlie intends to stand out not only for his creativity but also for his unique accent and way of talking.

In an exclusive interview with ABP Live, the popular content creator, who is fondly referred to as the 'Bihari Korean', talks about his life in Patna- the capital city of Bihar, the reason behind his fluent Hindi, the idea behind his unique story name, his one dream and a lot more.

Here are a few excerpts from the interview:

How did you come to India? Where did you learn such fluent Hindi?

My parents came to India because of my father, who was pursuing his Phd in Public Administration, and settled down in Patna, when I was a year-old. I have lived in the city for about 20 years, completing my education from class 1-12 from a CBSE board school until I moved to Iowa at the age of 21 to pursue my Bachelors in International Studies. So, having spent 20-21 years in Patna is the reason behind my fluent Hindi.

How did you get inspiration for content creation?

Since my childhood, I always used to lip-sync songs and watch movies with great interest. Then came a point when a thought crept in my mind that if I ever make a movie or if a movie is made on me, how would it be. I am a huge fan of filmmaker Casey Neistat. I really like his style. In today's time, a movie can be made in any place. One just needs to have the skill and a camera and you are good to go. This thought came in my mind post my military training in 2020. That was the time when I thought that yes, this is the right time to begin my journey and I began uploading my song videos.

What is your perspective regarding content creation and its popularity and how do you intend to make your content different?

I believe that every person out there has their own genre that they adhere to. As far as popularity is concerned, I intend to showcase my personality in the best possible format, keeping it authentic and real. Many people suggest that incorporating slangs would fetch more views but I don't want to do that as I am not like that in real life. I don't want to change myself for the sake of becoming viral. For me, the idea behind creating content is being my original, authentic self which the audience enjoys watching. The reason for my username (40 Kahani) is also the same, which means Charlie's Kahani (stories). I plan to convey my stories to the audience and entertain them.

What do you plan to do ahead as a content creator?

I plan to increase my sustainability on YouTube. I am quite new in this field and so, I plan to come up with more engaging content that the audience finds relatable and unique. My goal is also to collaborate with singer Armaan Mallik as I am a huge fan of his.

What do you have to say about your viral video that grabbed everyone's attention?

I had no idea that something of this sort would ever happen. I was visiting my parents in India and during that time, I just took out some time to meet an old friend who is now a YouTuber. He insisted on collaborating and creating something. Little did I know that that very video would get so viral that people would go crazy about it. I just believe in being determined towards my goal and one day, it would definitely pay off.

Tell us your favourite actor and your favourite film.

My favourite actor is Aamir Khan and favourite film is 'Lagaan' and then '3 Idiots.' I really like Katrina Kaif's popular dance number 'Sheila Ki Jawani', although I don't watch Hindi movies much.

Have you ever faced any issue regarding your accent?

Initially when I used to speak in English, my Indian accent used to overpower. I used to face a lot of complex because of it during my childhood. It took me a lot of time to gain control over it and now I can speak fluently in both American and Indian accent.

How do you feel about all the attention and popularity that you are getting now?

Honestly, I was not prepared for it. I only had a plan rest everything worked in my favour, probably. Even now, I am not sure if I have really been able to fulfill the audience's expectations, all I know is that I will keep trying and keep improving every day. I feel thankful that my content is reaching to people across nations and they are liking it. I feel blessed to receive all their love and appreciation. People are showering love on me for the work that I am doing and I aim to continue with that.
