Chennai: Actor Surya is all set to celebrate his 46th birthday tomorrow (July 23) and the makers of Suriya's much-awaited 40th movie, tentatively titled Suriya 40, unveiled the first-look motion poster and the title as promised.

The title of the film is as interesting as the poster. Suriya’s 40th film has got the title of Sivakumar's (Suriya’s father) 'Etharkum Thuninthavan' released in 1976 which started surfacing after Suriya dropped the first look of his new film.

The 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' (tentative translation: brave enough) aptly fits Suriya who looks intense and deadlier as a fierce desi gangster. The 39-second video hints that the movie will be a complete rustic entertainer.

Earlier the makers had promised that they would announce the movie name and release date of first look on Suriya's birthday and as promised the actor took to his Twitter handle to drop the much-awaited motion poster. Sharing the video he wrote, "Dear all here is the first look of #EtharkkumThunindhavan."

Meanwhile, the poster has taken the internet by storm in no time as the video grabbed lakhs of views within an hour of its release. Now fans can't wait to see what the film has to offer to them.

This is the third venture that actor Suriya and director Pandiraj have collaborated on. They have worked together in Pasanga, Pasanga 2 and Kadaikutty Singham.

Sun Pictures will release this film under its banner featuring Sathyaraj and Priyanka Arul Mohan in key roles. D Imman has adorned this movie with his melody tunes; Rathnavelu is in charge of cinematography.
