A Mumbai court on Friday(September 24, 2021)  granted bail to actor Gaurav Dixit in a drugs case. According to ANI's tweet Gauarav was granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000 & the conditions that he can't leave the city without the court's permission & that he will report to NCB office on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday till filing of charge-sheet. ANI tweeted, “Mumbai court grants bail to TV actor Gaurav Dixit in a drugs case, on a surety of Rs 50,000 & the conditions that he can't leave in the city without the court's permission & that he will report to NCB office on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday till filing of charge-sheet.”



Gaurav was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on August 27 after the officials recovered MD and Charas from his residence during a raid. According to ANI, the actor was arrested in connection with drugs case. The NCB officers conducted a raid at his place after his name came to fore during an interrogation of ‘Bigg Boss 7’ contestant Ajaz Khan.  



Earlier, Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede told a leading daily that Gaurav had supplied the drugs to Bigg Boss fame actor Ajaz Khan, who is currently in jail in the same case. He had also revealed that Ajaz Khan and Gaurav Dixit have a direct connection with Shadab Batata. Reacting to Gaurav's arrest, Wankhede had told, “In the Shadab Batata case, we have already arrested four people including Ajaz Khan and therefore Gaurav becomes very crucial as far as the network is concerned. We have also recovered drugs from his house.”


Gaurav Dixit is known for his works in films such as Happy Bhaag Jayegi, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, Dahek: A Restless Mind, The Magic of Cinema and Ganga Ke Paar Saiyan Hamar. He has also featured in a TV show, Seeta Aur Geeta.


Bollywood Drugs Case


The law enforcement agency has arrested many drug peddlers while unraveling the alleged drugs angle in Bollywood, which stemmed from Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Several tinsel town celebs have been questioned as part of NCB's probe into the matter. The likes of Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Sara Ali Khan were issued summons to appear before the federal agency.
