New Delhi: 'Dr. Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness' has released to much fanfare and excitement. The Benedict Cumberbatch starrer has been receiving rave reviews form fans. So much is the excitement around the film, that it is trending on the first place on Twitter.


Fans are sharing how their favourite actors have performed well in the film. They are also appreciating how director Sam Raimi perfectly mixed the horror and superhero genres for this Marvel film.

In fact, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, at the premier of 'Dr Strange And The Multiverse of Madness', Benedict Cumberbatch also praised Sam Raimi's style of mixing horror and superhero genres in this film. 


"I think Sam’s just got the combination of superhero-dom and horror, and that’s what you’ll see hopefully sort of being expressed in this film and the tone of it,” he told the publication.


“Any Sam Raimi fan is going to have the most amazing nostalgic hit of shock horror, jump scares and everything else that’s his trademark in horror, but also how he handles a complex storyline, rich character deal, evolution with those characters as well from his Spider-Man trilogy," Cumberbatch added.


Raimi directed Sony’s original Spider-Man trilogy back in the 2000s. Interestingly, Raimi’s Spider-Man turned 20 on Tuesday.


'Dr. Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness' is Marvel Cinematic Universe's 28th film and the sequel to the blockbuster 'Dr. Strange' movie which released in 2016. It is also one of the first Marvel features that became a movie from a Disney+ series.
