The Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed an application filed by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father Krishna Kishore Singh to stay the release of proposed movies being made about the actor's life.
This comes just days ahead of Sushant Singh Rajput's first death anniversary. The 34-year-old actor on June 14, 2020, was found dead at his Bandra(Mumbai)residence.
Sushant’s father, KK Singh had moved the High Court earlier this year claiming that many people were taking advantage of his son's death.
After learning about movies based on the late actor, like “Nyay: The Justice”, "Suicide or Murder: A star was lost", and “Shashank”, Sushant's father had filed a plea against movies and other ventures depicting the late Bollywood actor's personal life, name, images, caricature, lifestyle, likeness in the form of a biopic or story.
However, the Delhi High Court dismissed Rajput's father's petition seeking a restraining order on proposed movies being made on late actor's life.
