About Ankahi

Ankahi portrays the delicate balance of joy and heartbreak in a relationship through a series of visually striking and emotionally resonant moments. The film takes viewers on a journey with Sam and Jess as they navigate the highs and lows of building a life together. From moments of harmony and playful sync to fractured connections and poignant silences, the story unfolds with depth and authenticity, leaving a lasting impression on its audience.

"This film is deeply personal to me," shares Siddhi Konduskar, the film’s director. "Through its use of movement, silence, and subtle storytelling, Ankahi captures the beauty and pain of relationships, where the unspoken often carries the greatest weight."

As a director, I wanted the film’s visuals, music, and choreography to seamlessly blend, creating an immersive experience for the audience. I worked closely with Sanskar Mehra, whose choreography beautifully captured the ebb and flow of the characters’ emotions, and Samit Kapoor, whose music became the heartbeat of the story. Their contributions elevated the narrative and brought my vision to life.

The film’s choreography, crafted by Sanskar Mehra, elevates the narrative, blending fluid movements with emotional storytelling. "Choreography in Ankahi serves as more than just movement—it’s a reflection of the couple’s emotional synchrony and their struggles," says Mehra. As co-creative director, he played a pivotal role in shaping the film’s artistic vision.

Complementing the visuals is the soulful music by Samit Kapoor, whose compositions underscore the story’s emotional arc, enhancing the viewer’s connection to the characters and their journey.

"Ajay and Sara’s performances bring a heartfelt authenticity to Ankahi, making every moment resonate with truth and emotion," adds Diva Singh, Producer of the film. Their transition from celebrated dancers to compelling actors is a testament to their versatility and talent.

The film will be releasing on 25th December this Christmas on Jupiter Productions' YouTube channel.
