The iconic duo of Daft Punk, the master of electronic tunes that left people's feet tapping for almost three decades, have announced their split via music video on YouTube. The French duo, known for its stand out robotic helmets, are parting ways after 28 years.

The popular French electronic music duo behind hits such as "Get Lucky" released an eight-minute-long video 'Epilogue' on their YouTube channel on Monday depicting their split. The video displays them walking in a desert before one of them self destructs.

The longtime publicist of the duo Kathryn Frazier also confirmed the break up of Daft Punk to multiple media outlets but declined to divulge further details about the band's split.
