New Delhi: Famous Urdu Poet and Bollywood lyricist Rahat Indori has tested positive for coronavirus. On Monday, he was admitted to the hospital late at night in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He also tweeted about his health condition, 'My corona test was done yesterday after the initial symptoms of Kovid appeared, which has been reported positive. I have been admitted to Aurobindo Hospital, pray that I should defeat this disease as soon as possible. He also appealed not to call him or his family frequently for information about them was it will be available through Twitter and Facebook.

After his message on Twitter the Cheif Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who recovered from the infection recently also wished him well.


The famous poet has written songs for many Bollywood films. Some of the popular songs include 'Yeh Rishta' from the film Meenaxi: A Tale Of Three Cities(2004), 'Neend Churayee Meri Kisne O Sanam Tune' from the film Ishq (1997), Bumbro from Mission Kashmir(2000).  This year during Valentines week his poem 'Bulati Hai Magar Jaane Ka Nahi' had gone viral on TikTok and other social media platforms.
