New Delhi: Jury deliberations in the high-profile defamation battle case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard began on Friday after six weeks of trial in Fairfax County, Virginia, USA.

A jury heard the closing arguments on Friday in the lawsuit. Each side had two hours to summarise their case in a trial that has stretched on for six weeks. While Johnny Depp's lawyer asked jurors to hold Amber Heard accountable for her lies, Amber Heard’s lawyer said Depp is an abuser and can’t be trusted.

The seven-member jury must come to a unanimous decision for a verdict.

The trail has been grabbing the headlines since it started on April 11 and has led to many debates, discussions, people taking sides, and memefest. Every aspect of their married life was dissected during the court proceedings that were streamed live.
