New Delhi: Popular comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday (November 21) on the charges of consumption of drugs. The agency conducted a raid at their residence in Mumbai after a peddler pointed out their names during the probe reportedly. According to a report of ANI, NCB recovered 86.5 grams of Ganja from Bharti's production house and house. The raid was being carried out by the agency at three different places including Andheri, Lokhandwala, and Versova area.

The couple has accepted the consumption of ‘ganja’ during their interrogation by the NCB. Both Bharti and Haarsh were presented before the court earlier today(November 22). The couple will be kept in judicial custody till Dec 4. Both the husband and wife have filed for bail plea and the matter will be heard tomorrow.


Comedian Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa tied the knot on December 3, 2017. The couple is currently seen as hosts on 'India's Best Dancer'. The popular dance reality show is judged by Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis. The grand finale episode of 'IBD' will air on November 22.


Meanwhile, on Saturday night, Bharti’s mother and friend reached the NCB office at around 10.30 pm. However, only the comedian’s friend went inside the office with some of Bharti’s medicines. After staying for around 15 minutes, Bharti’s mother and friend left the NCB office.

The Narcotics Control Bureau had earlier conducted raids at Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala's houses in Mumbai. The agency grilled Arjun and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades as part of their investigation in the case. The 'Om Shanti Om' star was questioned for close to six hours while his ladylove was interrogated over two days (close to 12 hours).

The agency intensified its probe into the alleged Bollywood drugs case after it received information from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that various chats related to consumption of drugs were found during the investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.
