Now, Ira has posted a video on Instagram in which she and Aamir say that it's okay to talk to a mental health expert if you feel like you need it. The father-daughter duo addressed the taboo around mental health on World Mental Health Day today.

The video features an insightful conversation between Aamir Khan And Ira Khan in which they discuss seeing a mental health expert. They assured people that they were not alone in their struggles and that they need not feel bad about themselves.

They can be heard saying together in Hindi. “To study mathematics, we go to school or to a teacher or to a tuition teacher. When we want our hair trimmed, we visit a salon or barbershop, where a specialist does the task. When we need help with anything around the house, like fixing a piece of furniture, fixing a leaky tap in the bathroom, or when we're ill, we see a specialist.”

Aamir’s daughter Ira elaborated by saying that anybody experiencing emotional or physical distress should not hesitate to seek help from qualified specialists.
