New Delhi: ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, was released on August 11 of last year. The Advait Chandan-directed picture found its audience on its OTT release on Netflix, despite its disappointing performance in theatres and poor word of mouth leading up to its release owing to the #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha movement. Aamir Khan reportedly threw a party yesterday for the 'Laal Singh Chaddha' crew and actors. A video of him singing with Shilpa Rao and Amitabh Bhattacharya is now going viral.

Fans of the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ took to the micro-blogging site X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their admiration for Aamir and the film as well as their disappointment at missing it in theatres.

Aamir Khan reunited with the ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ cast and crew to celebrate the film's year anniversary since its release. The videos, which are now trending, feature the superstar performing two songs from the album live on stage.

At the reunion, Aamir Khan surprised everyone by performing a few songs on stage. Aamir can be seen singing together with singers Shilpa Rao and Amitabh Bhattacharya in the first clip, ‘Tere Hawaale,’ and again in the second clip, ‘Kahani,’ with Amitabh.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is a remake of the 1994 American film ‘Forrest Gump’. Although it cost Rs 180 crore to make, the film only made Rs 90 crore in its first week globally.

In addition to Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ also included Mona Singh and Manav Vij in significant parts. Naga Chaitanya, son of actor Nagarjuna, made his Bollywood debut in the movie.
