New Delhi: At the 77th Locarno Film Festival, a video of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan ‘pushing’ an old man on the red carpet went viral, sparking a heated online controversy. As SRK accepted the esteemed Pardo alla Carriera (Career Leopard) award in Switzerland, the camera recorded the actor in a seemingly fun moment that has caused quite a stir online.

The viral video captures Shah Rukh Khan's enthusiastic reception by fans as he walks the red carpet. An old man in the corner seemed to step into the frame as SRK posed for solo shots. Fans' reactions to the occurrence on social media have been mixed. Some think the actor knew the man and found the gesture funny, while others criticise Shah Rukh Khan’s rude behaviour.

One user wrote, "Indeed, it was not a playful behaviour but Shah Rukh's arrogance! What if the old man did the same with Shah Rukh?". Someone also said, “I love SRK but this seems rude from both their body languages.”

Many of Shah Rukh's admirers defended him despite the backlash. One fan tweeted, “Stop making an everest out of this silly gesture guys. That was just a move pulled off with his friend and the guy appears to have taken it in the same fun spirit SRK did.” One fan also clarified, "That guy is his old friend."
