New Delhi: Vijay Varma is currently reveling in the success of his latest film, 'Murder Mubarak'. The actor, who has been romantically involved with Tamannaah Bhatia for some time now, opened up about their relationship's origins during a recent conversation with Tanmay Bhat on Netflix India’s YouTube channel. Both Vijay and Tamannaah starred in a segment of the anthology film 'Lust Stories 2'.
In the conversation, Vijay clarified the beginnings of their relationship, stating, “Lust Stories was a cupid but it wasn’t during the shoot that we started dating. There was discussion of a wrap party happening but it never happened. So, we wanted to have a wrap party and so only four people showed up... That day I feel like I told her that I want to hang out more with you. Then it took me 20-25 days for the first date to happen after that.”
Their onscreen collaboration started with the Netflix original anthology "Lust Stories 2," directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Rumors about their relationship sparked after they were spotted together at a New Year's party. Confirming the speculations, Tamannaah publicly acknowledged her relationship with Vijay in an interview with Film Companion in June of last year. Since then, the couple has been frequently interacting on social media and attending various public events together.
Vijay's latest appearance was in "Murder Mubarak." He is set to appear in two upcoming shows this year, including Nagraj Manjule's "Matka King" and the third season of "Mirzapur."
Meanwhile, Tamannaah recently shared her striking first-look as Shiva Shakthi on Instagram and X. Directed by Ashok Teja, the film narrates the tale of Odela Mallanna Swamy, a guardian who protects the village from malevolent forces.
