Veteran cinematographer S. Thirunavukkarasu, known for his work in the highly anticipated film Sikandar, recently shared his admiration for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. In a candid interview, he described Salman as “one of the finest actors” he has collaborated with, praising his natural and effortless approach to acting.
S. Thirunavukkarasu on Salman Khan
According to Thirunavukkarasu, what sets Salman apart is his authenticity on screen. “He has a very honest way of emoting. There were moments on set when I told him, ‘Just be yourself; that’s more powerful than acting,’” he revealed. The cinematographer emphasized that Salman doesn’t focus on the technicalities that often concern other actors, such as camera angles, lighting, or his appearance. Instead, he remains deeply engaged in delivering an organic performance. “Salman doesn’t worry about how he looks or where the camera is—something most actors are fixated on,” he added.
Another aspect that stood out for Thirunavukkarasu was Salman’s unwavering trust in his team. The cinematographer expressed how refreshing it was to work with an actor who completely relies on his crew. “The level of trust he places in his cinematographer is incredible, making the entire experience enjoyable,” he shared.
Thirunavukkarasu also spoke about Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, calling it an emotionally driven film with a strong social message. He noted that the movie explores themes of love and humanity—values that Salman himself embodies through his philanthropic efforts.
