New Delhi: Actress Urvashi Rautela, recently caught up in a controversy surrounding cricketer Rishabh Pant after her new advertisement went viral, has clarified that her remarks were not aimed at anyone but were merely part of a scripted scenario.

The actress had recently appeared in an advertisement for a matrimonial brand where she made a statement, “Kuch log toh meri height ke bhi nahi hai,” while referencing actors, businessmen, singers, and batsmen.

As expected the video went viral and netizens were quick to link the dialogue with cricketer Rishabh Pant. Most of the users believed that the dialogue was a dig at the cricketer and trolled the actor for the ad.

A user wrote, “Behen aab usko chor de plz game mein concentrate karne lafda matt kar abhi (Sister, now leave him, please let him concentrate on the game now).”

Another user commented, “The height of her career has gone up to the boots of Rishab.” “And you are not even worth it, stupid girl,” wrote another user.

In response to the escalating rumours, Urvashi took to her Instagram Stories on Monday to set the record straight. She expressed, “It’s a generic brand script given by the brand and it’s their prerogative. Not directed towards anyone, #spreadpositivity. As a responsible individual, I understand the impact individuals can have from me as the brand’s basic ambassador #hope #inspirekindness.”

Urvashi's upcoming projects
Urvashi was recently seen in the song ‘Love Dose 2.0’ alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh. She is gearing up for her role in 'Jahangir National University' (JNU), where she portrays a college politician.
