New Delhi: Two men were arrested for attempting to enter Salman Khan's farmhouse in Panvel, Maharashtra. The incident occurred on January 4 when the security guard of the farmhouse caught two men trying to enter the compound by jumping over the boundary wall.
According to the Hindustan Times, they identified themselves as Mahesh Kumar Ramnivas and Vinod Kumar Radhesham from Uttar Pradesh. Both of them called themselves Salman’s fans. The manager of the farmhouse informed the police and they were then arrested.
According to the Hindustan Times report, they told police their names were Ajesh Kumar Omprakash Gila and Gurusevak Singh Tej Singh Sikh. Hailing from Punjab, one works as a carpenter while the other is a furniture trader.
Police found soft copies of two Aadhaar cards with the same photo on their phones.
They have been booked under sections 420 (cheating), 448 (house trespass), 465 (forgery) and 471 (using forged document as genuine) of the Indian Penal Code.
“A case has been registered at Panvel Rural Police Station against two people for trying to enter Salman Khan's Arpita Farm House in Waze, New Panvel. Further investigation is being done,” ANI quoted Anil Patil, Inspector, Panvel Taluka Police Station.
It is to be noted that Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had confessed to Punjab Police of planning to kill Salman near his Panvel farmhouse and had carried out recce of the place several times.
In 2022, Punjab Police had revealed that the plan was led by Goldy Brar and Kapil Pandit, a shooter of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who was arrested from the Indo-Nepal border.
Kapil Pandit along with Santosh Jadhav and Deepak Mundi and two other shooters had rented a room in Panvel where they lived for one and a half months. During this duration, they did a recce of the actor’s farmhouse. They had small arms pistol cartridges to attack the actor.
