New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan are joining up for an upcoming psychological thriller, and the film's filming began in Chennai. The 'Tejas' actress uploaded a photo during the first puja on the sets, which marked the official beginning of filming. For those who are unaware, this isn’t their first time working together. Madhavan and Kangana's on-screen chemistry in the films 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' was praised a lot.


On Saturday, Kangana Ranaut turned to social media to announce her participation in the film and post a photo from the set, expressing her enthusiasm. Despite providing too many details about the untitled film, Kangana said that the screenplay is unusual and exciting.


Kangana wrote on X (previously Twitter), ''Today in Chennai we started filming our new film, a psychological thriller. Other details coming soon. For now need all your support and blessings for this very unusual and exciting script.''






Vijay, who directed the hit movie ‘Thalaivii,’ will be in charge of this project.  Nirav Shah, lauded for his cinematography in several box office hits, takes on the role of Director of Photography (DOP), guaranteeing an exceptional visual experience.


Kangana and Madhavan's highly-anticipated psychological thriller will be released in both Hindi and Tamil. 


In addition to this, Kangana will make her directorial debut with the forthcoming period drama ‘Emergency’. Meanwhile, R Madhavan will appear with Ajay Devgn in a thriller helmed by Vikas Bahl. His OTT series ‘The Railway Men’, based on the Bhopal gas tragedy was also released today. In addition to Madhavan, the cast comprises Babil Khan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyendu Sharma.
