Tabu recently reacted to the same questions about female actors’ pay disparity in the Hindi film industry. During her film ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ promotional tour, Tabu suggested that the same question should be directed towards the ones who are paying male actors more.

Tabu on pay parity in Bollywood

While speaking to We Are Yuvaa, Tabu said, “Every media person will ask a female about pay parity. Every journalist will ask only the woman, 'You know a man is paid more, you are paid less. So why are you asking me? Why don't you ask the person who is paying them more? How am I supposed to answer this question?' Unless you just want to sensationalize the quote by saying, 'I hate it that I'm being paid less,' that's all. I can either say that or I can say that, 'I'm okay with what I'm being paid.' Why don't you ask the male actor why you are getting paid more?”

The actor added, "That will be an interesting perspective. This whole beauty perspective, I feel is more interesting when there is an outside lens to it. Beauty or physicality is always in the context on the lens that is on it."

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha movie review

The ABP Live review of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha reads: The movie is slow from the beginning, attempting to build suspense. While it occasionally succeeds, the anticipation ultimately leads to disappointment. The climax, which should have been a twist, feels more like a betrayal to the audience. Neeraj Pandey, known for better work, fails to meet expectations here. The film lacks anything surprising or impactful, reminiscent of a mediocre 90s film. Ajay Devgn and Tabu have done far superior work in the past.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' is Ajay Devgn and Tabu's tenth film together. Set between 2002 and 2023, it is a musical film featuring an epic romantic drama that takes place over 20 years. Jimmy Sheirgill, Sayaji Shinde, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar also starred in the movie.
