New Delhi: Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, once known for their impeccable on-screen chemistry, experienced a notable fallout after an altercation during a flight, which led to their separation. However, the recent announcement of their collaboration on a Netflix show sparked immense interest among fans longing for their reunion. Despite six years of separation, Sunil revealed in a recent interview with Lallantop Cinema that they remained in touch and even met occasionally.
Addressing any potential awkwardness upon their reunion, Sunil clarified, "We would talk sometimes. It’s not like we never spoke, we were in touch with each other. We met also." While not delving into the specifics of their reconciliation, Sunil hinted, "Such things happen sometimes."
Pressed further on the matter, Sunil Grover jokingly remarked, "This was a publicity stunt for six years for this show."
The discord between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover arose in 2017 following an altercation on their flight from Australia to India, allegedly involving Kapil's intoxicated behaviour and physical altercation with Sunil. Subsequently, Sunil parted ways with Kapil and exited ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Their upcoming collaboration, titled ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, marks their long-awaited reunion.

Sunil Grover had a heart attack in 2022 and had to undergo bypass surgery. Talking about his condition, the actor-comedian said, "For the first few days I was thanking god for giving my life back to me. However, after a few days, I was back to normal. Everything is back to how it was. It isn't that someone who is taking care of their health wouldn't fall ill ever or have any such scare. I don't think much about it but I do take care of myself like I used to."
