New Delhi: Singer Sonu Nigam and T-Series’ head honcho Bhushan Kumar had an ugly spat in 2020 when the singer indirectly accused Bhushan Kumar of being a ‘movie mafia’ and released a video on social media talking about Bhushan. It seems the spat is a thing of the past and the two have buried their hatchet as the singer visited the T-Series office for Ganpati darshan and clicked pictures with Bhushan Kumar announcing a collaboration.
Sonu posted a video on Instagram and wrote, “My Brother #BhushanKumar and I are bringing back a classic song which has always been close to our hearts ❤️🎶#BitterBetrayals first song from T-Series Solos coming to you on 29th September!.”
In the video, Sonu said that he wanted to make an announcement for a long time and was waiting for the right time and will not do it alone but with his ‘younger brother’ and then introduced Bhushan Kumar.
Bhushan Kumar then said, “The news is that we at T-Series, for our new solos that we are starting on our platform. The first song in this will be sung by Sonu bhai.” Sony then adds, “It is a song that’s very close to my heart, it has made my life and now we are presenting it to you as Bitter Betrayals. It’ll be out on September 29, and we hope you guys give it lots of love.”
In 2020, Sonu posted a video and slammed the functioning of the music industry and also indirectly called Bhushan Kumar 'music mafia'. He also shared that Bhushan requested him to introduce him to Subrata Roy, Smita Thackeray, and Bal Thackeray.
Bhushan's wife Divya Kumar Khosla then replied to the video and called Sonu 'thankless' as T-Series gave Sonu a singing break. She also said that the singer was doing this for a publicity stunt.
