The father-daughter duo, Sonakshi Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha share a strong bond. An Instagram page recently shared a heartwarming throwback video featuring young Sonakshi Sinha presenting the ‘Best Film’ award. Sona giving away an award to the late filmmaker Yash Chopra is making waves on social media. The video captures the moment when 10-year-old Sonakshi accompanied her father, Shatrughan Sinha, to the Filmfare Awards. 


In the delightful clip, Sonakshi stands beside her father. Shatrughan humorously introduces her to the audience, saying, “Ye meri dadi hai. Mera matlam meri beti Sonakshi Sinha yahan maujood hain (She is my grandmother. I mean my daughter Sonakshi Sinha is present here in her spectacles).” 


The actor passes the mic to baby Sonakshi to announce the winner.

The Netflix series is set against the backdrop of the Indian independence revolution of the 1920s-40s. It portrays the clash between the authorities of the British Raj period and the courtesans of Lahore's red-light district, Heera Mandi.
