New Delhi: Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, the parents of late Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala, were recently blessed with a son. The infant's name, Shubhdeep, comes from his late brother Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala. Videos of the recent Times Square display in New York City featuring Balkaur, Shubhdeep, and Sidhu Mooosewala’s father have been doing the rounds on social media.
Times Square Tribute
A fan uploaded a video of the Times Square memorial service for Sidhu and his infant brother, noting, “Big moment for Sidhu Moose Wala: His dad and newborn baby’s photo shining bright in New York’s Time Square.”
In addition to a photo of Sidhu as a child, the video also featured a photograph of Balkaur and Shubhdeep. Sidhu is pictured with his father in another photo.
“Big moment for times square,” a fan wrote, reacting to the video. Another fan commented, “Born star .....Pride of Punjab.” One fan said that the ‘legend is back’ while another called the baby boy ‘lucky’.
Many admirers captioned the video with heart emojis, some speculating on how much the fan who paid tribute to Sidhu must have spent for the area at Times Square.
Birth of Sidhu Moose Wala's brother
A boy was born to Balkaur and Charan two years after their son Sidhu passed away. Legends never die! Balkaur posted a photograph of his newborn kid on Instagram earlier this week, featuring Sidhu. In a video, he expressed gratitude to the hospital for their treatment. Balkaur and Charan can be seen in the video shedding tears over their newborn. Balkaur celebrated the occasion by distributing cake.
After it was revealed that Shubhdeep was born through IVF, Balkaur said in a video message shared on X and Instagram that the Punjab government was asking the family about the "legality" of the child. Balkaur added that he will "give the government all the legal documents'' pertaining to the child.
On May 29, 2022, in Mansa, Sidhu was shot and killed. He was 28 years old. Upon his arrival at the Mansa Civil Hospital, he was pronounced deceased. The attackers shot him more than thirty times, and the residents discovered him sitting in the driver's seat.
