New Delhi: Shehnaaz Gill, who will soon be seen in 'Thank You For Coming', recently opened up inequality on the sets of films in Bollywood. Sharing that Shehnaaz did not face these issues during the shoot of her upcoming film 'Thank You For Coming'. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Kusha Kapila, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Shibani Bedi in key roles.


In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shehnaaz Gill shared that no one made her feel like the lesser lead in 'Thank You For Coming'.


When she was asked about being treated equally on the sets of 'Thank You For Coming', Shehnaaz shared, "Yes, iss set me toh seriously mujhe aisi feeling ayi. Mujhe laga jaise…hoga idhar bhi ki… bade logo ko alag dikhaya jata ha aur chote logon ko side pe kiya jata hai. But, idhar aisa kuch nahi tha (On the set of this film, I did not get that feeling. I felt that the discrimination would happen here too but it did not happen. Smaller stars were not discriminated against).


"Production ka bhi bohot bara role hai. Inhone ek percent bhi aisa feeling nahi di ki ye ladki main lead hai, tum characters ho side ke. Bilkul na. Puri vanity me bhi acha tha… ussi time bulate they jab shot hota tha, yeh bohot important cheez hai. Har cheez me equally treat kia, mai kya hi bolu ab?" ( A lot depends on production also. These people did not make me feel like a side character or reinstate that I am not the lead. The vanity arrangement was also nice. They would call us only during the time of the shot, that is a very important thing. In every aspect, I was treated well, what more can I say)Shehnaaz added.


In the same interaction, yeh 'Honsla Rakh' actor said, "Har set me aisa nahi hota. Mujhe yeh cheez achi lag rahi hai ki mai experience kar rahi hu. Jaruri nahi hai ki, log bolte hai na ache log nahi hai bollywood me, aisa nahi hai. Bohot ache log hai. Woh depend karta hai log kaun hai( This kind of treatment does not happen on every set. Many people say that Bollywood does not have nice people, however that is not true. It totally depends on the people you work with."


Shehnaaz Gill made her Bollywood debut this year with Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan'. She will next be seen in 'Thank You For Coming' which is backed by Anil Kapoor's producer and fashiond esigner daughter Rhea Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures. 


The film is slated to be released on October 6, 2023.
