New Delhi: 'Delhi Crime' fame actor Shefali Shah  has been in the entertainment industry for quite a long time now. Recently, the Emmy nominees spoke about 'hierarchy' which exists on the sets of movies. In an interaction with Indian Express, she spoke about  working with one 'director and actor' who were extremely offensive.

Shefali Shah also made a remark involving Akshay Kumar and said that she will never play his mother on screen.

When Shefali was asked about the hierarchy on the sets, she said, "Honestly I will tell you, I have had the pleasure of working with incredible people and I am not saying it because it is politically correct. I mean it. I had probably worked with one director or one actor, who were extremely offensive. Besides that, I have worked with directors who think actors are not just actors, they are collaborators.”

Shefali then laughed and said, “I promise I will never play Akshay Kumar’s mother ever again in my life.”

For those unaware, Shefali Shah had played mother to Akshay Kumar's character in 'Waqt: The Race Against Time', a film which also starred Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. At the time, Shefali Shah was five years younger to Akshay, who was 37, and she played the role of his mother.

Shefali Shah also spoke about validation and fame in the entertainment industry. On being asked about the importance of the same, she said, "If validation is good enough only to decorate my wall, then it is redundant. I have been working for like 25-30 years but I have actually started work in the last 4 years. My career has been more about waiting than actually working."

Shefali Shah also spoke about relatability not being a problem. She spoke about years ago, when an acclaimed actor lauded her but that did not translate into work or the fact that she received accolades but that did not translate into work.
