New Delhi: Bollywood veteran Shatrughan Sinha and his wife, Poonam Sinha, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on July 9 with an intimate gathering at their Mumbai residence. The celebration was attended by yesteryear actress Mumtaz and television presenter-producer Siddharth Kak, making the occasion even more special. 

Shatrughan Sinha, who transitioned from a successful acting career to a prominent politician, took to Twitter to share heartwarming pictures from the event. The couple not only commemorated their wedding milestone but also cherished the memory of the late actor Sanjeev Kumar, whose birth anniversary coincided with the special day. Shatrughan Sinha and Sanjeev Kumar had worked together in several films, including Be-Rehem, Bad Aur Badnam, Raahee, and Rivaaj. 

In his tweet, Shatrughan expressed his gratitude towards the guests who were present at the gathering, which included Mumtaz, a superstar actress of her time, and Siddharth Kak, a talented Indian television producer and presenter known for the show "Surbhi."

All collected together to remember & wish friend, philosopher, guide, great actor, fine human being in true sense late & great our loving 'Hari Bhai' #SanjeevKumar & also celebrate our anniversary along with my elder brother Dr. Lakshman Sinha, his gracious wife Mrs Geeta Sinha & our children. The couple's journey of togetherness goes beyond their 43 years of marriage. They first met on a train while Shatrughan was on his way to Mumbai to pursue his acting career. Despite a brief three-year separation, their love remained strong, and they decided to tie the knot on July 9, 1980, cementing their bond for a lifetime.
