New Delhi: Sara Ali Khan is never afraid to share her candid thoughts about her life and films. The famously freewheeling actor discussed whether or not she would ever contemplate a career in politics. In an Anubhav Singh Bassi interview for Netflix India, Sara was asked if she intended to go into politics soon.


During a rapid fire round, Sara was asked, "Down the line, Sara Ali Khan wants to join politics?" "Yes, she does," the actor responded.


Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Sara Ali Khan had said, “I have a degree in history and political science so I want to pursue politics maybe later in life, but it’s not a backup plan. I am not leaving and if people will give me the opportunity to be here (Bollywood), I will be here for as long I can.”

Sara most recently starred in the films ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ and ‘Murder Mubarak’. The latter film is centred on India's fight for independence, whereas the former is a murder mystery. Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, Brijendra Kala, and Suhail Nayyar are also part of the ensemble in ‘Murder Mubarak’ as important characters.
