New Delhi: Actor Sanjay Dutt has come forward to address rumours circulating about his potential venture into politics. The actor clarified that he has no intentions of entering politics or aligning with any political party.

What Sanjay Dutt said
In a statement posted on X, Dutt denied all the rumours around his political stint and said that any future decision regarding his involvement in politics would be personally announced by him. He urged both fans and the media to refrain from believing unconfirmed reports circulating about him.

He wrote, “I would like to put all rumours about me joining politics to rest. I am not joining any party or contesting elections. If I do decide to step into the political arena then I will be the first one to announce it. Please refrain from believing what is being circulated in the news about me as of now.”

This clarification from Dutt follows recent political developments within the entertainment industry. Veteran actor Govinda recently made a comeback to politics after a hiatus of 14 years, aligning himself with the Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Meanwhile, actress Kangana Ranaut has stepped into the political arena by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and is set to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh. Actor Arun Govil is contesting from Meerut in the BJP ticket.
