New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be taking a year's break for health reasons before she returns to work in full capacity. The actor has already returned advances payments to producers before taking the much-needed break. Recently, the actor was spotted at Hyderabad airport after wrapping up her upcoming film 'Kushi' with Vijay Deverakonda. The actor was seen in denim trousers and a T-Shirt. The 'Shaakuntalam' actor's pictures and video clips from the airport have been doing the rounds on social media.


 




On Thursday, reports about Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 1 year break shook the entertainment industry. The actor will undergo treatment for her chronic health condition, Myositis. She will be leaving for the US, where Samantha has been taking treatment for quite some time.


Samantha's publicist Mahendra opened up about her health condition and told Indian Express, "It’s true that Samantha won’t be taking on any new projects for one year as she is all set to leave for the USA for the treatment of her autoimmune condition, Myositis. If her condition improves earlier than expected, she may return within six months. However, the planned duration of her break is one year. She is already making good progress in her recovery, and her doctors have advised her to take mandatory rest. Samantha will depart for the US in the fourth week of August (Aug. 20).”


Samantha's last film 'Shaakuntalam' bombed at the box office despite a massive budget of Rs. 80 crores. Her previous release 'Yashoda' did well at the box office. Samantha's upcoming projects include 'Kushi' and the Indian version of 'Citadel'. A lot of promise and anticipation is riding high on both 'Citadel' and 'Kushi'. 


Fans are eagerly waiting to see Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu together. The buzz around the song 'Na Roja Nuve' has been keeping fans wanting for more from the film. 


On the other hand, in the Indian 'Citadel', Samantha will be back in the action heroine avatar with Varun Dhawan. The two will be seen opposite each other for the first time on screen. As per report, Samantha will be playing the mother of Priyanka Chopgra's Nadia Sinh character from the international version of the show and the Indian adaptation will work as a prequel to 'Citadel'. Samantha also has 'Chennai Story' lined up.
