New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu has returned to her job following her myositis diagnosis. The actress said that she is "back to work" in a video that she posted on her Instagram stories on Saturday. Samantha revealed that ever since she declared she was taking a break from acting, she has been "completely jobless." The Kushi actress also disclosed the specifics of her next endeavour, revealing that she will be producing a podcast about health.

“Yes, I am going back to work, finally. But apart from that, in the meantime, I was so completely jobless. But, I am doing something fun with a friend. It’s a health podcast. It is quite unexpected, but it is something that I really, really love. I am extremely passionate about and I am very excited that it is releasing next week. I hope that some of you really find it extremely useful. And, I think I have enjoyed making this,” she said.

After the filming of Citadel India concluded in July 2023, Samantha declared her break from acting. The actress announced the same thing back then on her Instagram account, adding that she will be putting her health first in the upcoming months.

“And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia. A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me..I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud..Thank you for the role of a lifetime.. i.e until you write me the next☺️♥️,” she had written.

Regarding her career, Samantha was last seen in Kushi. In the romance drama, Vijay Deverakonda played the lead role as well.

Samantha will next be seen in Citadel, an Indian adaptation starring Varun Dhawan. Raj and DK are in charge of it, and they are keeping quiet about the plot. But Priyanka Chopra disclosed last year that there is a connection between the plots in the Indian version of her show. She went on to say that she was excited to watch Raj and DK's work.
