New Delhi: Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', which will be released on July 28. She was recently in Kolkata for the promotion of her movie. Alongside her co-star Ranveer Singh, Alia embarked on a promotional tour to the City of Joy, where they interacted with fans and the local audience.

In an Instagram post, Alia also shared a video that gave a glimpse of her dedicated efforts to learn and rehearse her lines in Bangla. The video showcased Alia sitting on a sofa, practicing her lines with the help of a tablet before the event. However, when the moment came to greet the audience in Bangla during the event, Alia momentarily forgot her lines. She candidly admitted that she had prepared diligently but, in the excitement of the moment and the overwhelming support from the fans, she got a bit flustered. Nevertheless, after a few attempts and with some playful encouragement from Ranveer Singh, she successfully greeted the crowd in Bangla.

Alia's charming and endearing attempt at speaking in Bangla won the hearts of her fans and social media followers. Many praised her efforts, calling her "cute" and expressing admiration for her dedication in trying to connect with the local audience. Her flawless appearance in the traditional saree, paired with statement earrings, also drew admiration from fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.

During their Kolkata visit, Alia and Ranveer also unveiled their new dance number, 'Dhindora Baje Re,' choreographed by the renowned Vaibhavi Merchant and sung by Darshan Raval and Bhoomi Trivedi. The song showcases the duo dancing exuberantly during Durga Puja celebrations, adding to the festive spirit and anticipation for the film.

The film marks Karan Johar’s return to direction after seven years. He had last directed 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
