New Delhi: Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies' continues to stay in news long after its release and reception. The grand Netflix adaptation of 'The Archies' comics which marked several star kids debuts like Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda, and late actor Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor.
While 'The Archies' received mixed reviews from across the country, and many celebrities raved about the actors' performances, fans did not really like the film. Recently, Suhana Khan's friend Orhan Awatramani aka Orry held an 'Ask Me Anything' session on Reddit. During the session, a user asked him if Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan was aware of people's reaction.
The user asked Orry if Suhana Khan knew about the criticism of her performance in 'The Archies'.
To the question, Orhan answered, "I cannot speak on Suhana’s behalf, But no one in Bollywood is dumb or in a ‘bubble’. Trust me, they’re all very very smart ppl highly in touch with reality.. u cannot be so famous and successful if you are not.”
Suhana Khan played the role of Veronica in 'The Archies' while Agastya Nanda starred as Archies Andrews and Khushi Kapoor played Betty Cooper.
'The Archies' has received mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike. All three star kids Suhana, Agastya and Khushi received poor reviews for their performance in Zoya Akhtar's much-talked about film.
Interestingly, many are now calling Ananya Panday’s performance in ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ ‘way better’ than her friend Suhana Khan in ‘The Archies’.
Ever since the release of ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ on Netflix, fans and netizens have been trending Ananya Panday and heaping praise for her while trolling her friend and actor Suhana Khan.
Meanwhile, 'The Archies' marks Zoya Akhtar's latest outing after the blockbuster 'Gully Boy' starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
