New Delhi: Director, actor, and choreographer Prabhudeva has become a father again. The actor and his second wife, Himani, are blessed with a baby girl, their first child.
The filmmaker confirmed the news with ETimes and said, “Yes! It is true. I am a father again at this age (50). I feel very happy and complete.”
He also shared that he has cut down on his workload “I have already cut down on my workload. I felt I was doing too much work, just running around… I am done with that. I want to spend some time with my family,” the actor was quoted as saying by Etimes.
The actor married Mumbai-based physiotherapist Himani in May 2020 and the news was announced in November same year. Himani is a resident of Mumbai's Sakinaka area and the wedding took place in Chennai in May 2020.
The two met when Prabhudeva was undergoing treatment from Dr Himani for his back and legs, as per a report in timesofindia.com. The couple flew to Chennai in March 2020 and stayed in a live-in relationship for the two months of lockdown before deciding to get married. The wedding took place at Prabhudheva's residence in the city and was attended only by a few people close to the couple.
The actor spends time between Mumbai and Chennai and wants to take it easy as a choreographer until and unless he gets something challenging.
His earlier marriage to Ramlatha ended in divorce amid rumours linking him to actress Nayantharaa. He has three sons from his previous marriage.
Prabhudeva last directed Salman Khan’s Radhe which didn’t get a great response from audience. He has directed Hindi films including Wanted (2009), Rowdy Rathore (2012), Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013) and R… Rajkumar (2014).
