The Kapoor family recently celebrated a special moment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM had invited the Kapoor family to spend time with him as they extended an invitation for the Raj Kapoor film festival that will celebrate the legacy of 'Showman of Hindi Cinema', and will showcase his films from Dec 13-15, 2024 across theatres in India.


Highlights of PM Modi's meeting with Bollywood's first family


Several clips and pictures from their meeting have been doing the rounds on social media. In one such clip, Ranbir is seen confessing how the family's WhatsApp group has been buzzing with what they will address the PM as. Ranbir admitted that Rima Jain, Raj Kapoor's daughter, had been calling him up everyday to ask how to address the PM. Rima is then seen addressing PM Modi as 'adarneeya Pradhan mantri Shri Narendra Modi ji' to which Modi then in a humourous manner responds with 'cut' that leaves the rest of the room in splits.






In another video that has been doing the rounds on social media, we see members of the Kapoor family speak about their experience of meeting with the PM.


Most of them shared how ‘humble, warm and positive’ the PM was and how he has even given suggestions for the film festival.


Saif Ali Khan also mentions in the video that PM Modi had suggested to the family to make a documentary about Raj Kapoor and his contributions that would celebrate and honour his legacy across the country and world.


 






Kareena Kapoor also admitted how it was her dream to always have some kind of conversation with PM Modi and this opprtunity made her dream come true.

Key members of the Kapoor family, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Singh, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Aadar Jain, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Aarman Jain, and his wife Anissa Malhotra, gathered for the meeting. The family expressed their hopes that the Prime Minister would participate in the festival, emphasizing the importance of Raj Kapoor’s legacy and his impact on Indian cinema.
