New Delhi: Celebrities often find themselves at the center of pregnancy rumours, and the latest star to face such speculation is Parineeti Chopra. The actress sparked rumours after she appeared at the trailer launch event for her upcoming Netflix film, 'Amar Singh Chamkila', wearing a loose black kaftan dress. Social media users, including paparazzi pages, quickly took notice and began speculating that she might be hiding a baby bump.

Responding to the rumours, Parineeti took to Instagram Stories to address the speculation with a touch of humour. She wrote, accompanied by a laughing emoji, "Kaftan dress = pregnancy. Oversized shirt = pregnancy. Comfy Indian kurta = pregnancy."

Speculations around Parineeti's pregnancy
This isn't the first time such rumours have surfaced, as just a few weeks prior, there were reports that she might be expecting her first child. However the pregnancy rumours turned out to be untrue.

"There is no truth in the pregnancy rumours. At the moment, she is hustling between several cities, sometimes for professional commitments and sometimes for personal reasons. In fact, it is baffling that someone’s choice of attire can lead to such speculations, and intrude in someone’s personal life,” Hindustan Times had quoted its source as saying.

"Parineeti likes to keep her private life guarded, but her actions also don’t suggest that she is pregnant. She has not pushed any of her work and shoot commitments in the future, and everything is running at the pace which was planned much earlier,” the insider told Hindustan Times.

Parineeti Chopra is married to AAP leader Raghav Chadha. The couple tied the knot in Udaipur on September 24, 2023.

Amar Singh Chamkila trailer launch event
On the work front, Parineeti will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s directorial 'Amar Singh Chamkila' along with Diljit Dosanjh. During the trailer launch of the film on Thursday, Imtiaz shared with the media how Diljit, despite being a huge global superstar himself, fully embraced the role of Amar Singh Chamkila. Imtiaz expressed how Diljit immersed himself entirely in the character, delving deep into the world of Chamkila.

Imtiaz's words moved Diljit deeply, to the point of tears. The director acknowledged Diljit's accomplishments and said that this was just the beginning of Diljit's journey towards global recognition and domination.

Diljit was visibly emotional on stage upon hearing these heartfelt words from his director. At one point, he appeared overwhelmed, struggling to contain his emotions as he was deeply touched by Imtiaz's sentiments.

'Amar Singh Chamkila' will be released on Netflix on April 12.
