New Delhi: Pakistani actor Imran Abbas sent shockwaves across the internet with his candid revelations about turning down major Bollywood projects during a recent appearance on Nida Yasir’s show, ‘Shan-e-Suhoor’. The actor disclosed that despite being offered prominent roles in big-budgeted films, he made the decision to decline them.

Among the notable projects Imran Abbas revealed rejecting was Mohit Suri's 2013 romantic drama ‘Aashiqui 2’, where he was offered the lead role. He said, "People keep telling me how could I say no to Aashiqui 2 and Ram-Leela."

Furthermore, Abbas disclosed that he was offered a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series ‘Heeramandi’ but the project was ultimately shelved. Additionally, he revealed being considered for Aditya Roy Kapur's role in ‘Guzzarish’.

Despite these significant offers, Abbas clarified that the only official offer he received was for ‘Aashiqui 2’. He said, "Aashiqui 2 sabse bada project tha. Ab toh har koi keh raha hota hai ki mujhe bhi Aashiqui offer hui. Aap Mahesh Bhatt se jake pooch lijiye that the only official offer made by the director Mohit Suri and the producer, wo sirf mujhe hi unhone ki thi. (Aashiqui 2 was the biggest project. Now everyone is saying that I was also offered Aashiqui. You ask Mahesh Bhatt that the only official offer made by the director Mohit Suri and the producer, they only made me.)"
