Punjabi music sensation A.P. Dhillon is gearing up to release his latest track, 'Old Money,' on August 9. On Tuesday, the singer-songwriter shared a teaser of the music video on Instagram, which he directed himself. The clip features Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, with Dhillon seeking Khan's permission to visit a certain place. Despite the excitement surrounding the release, Dhillon has urged his fans not to refer to it as his “comeback.”

What AP Dhillon wrote

In a heartfelt note accompanying the Instagram post, Dhillon emphasised that streaming data, awards, and media attention only serve to boost an artist's ego and distract from what truly matters—their art. He wrote: “I started out as an artist hoping to inspire the next generation and leave a legacy that really impacts our culture and community. Streams, awards, sold-out shows, the headlines... along the way I learned that all of these things do nothing but inflate your ego and take away from what really matters... the music... the art.”

Known for his hit tracks like ‘Brown Munde,’ ‘Excuses,’ and ‘Summer High,’ Dhillon expressed that he grew weary of following the conventional path and decided to take his time to create something truly remarkable.

He added, “With God’s blessings, I got two of the biggest icons our world has ever seen to support me in accomplishing this goal. Everything I have been working on is to prove to you that reality can really be greater than your dreams if you focus on what truly matters to you as a human being. I am working as hard as ever and hope you like what is to come. ‘Old Money’ out this Friday. Don’t call it a comeback.”
