New Delhi: Indie singer Anuv Jain is a star among today's generation. Known for his soulful lyrics and melodious songs, Anuv Jain is a singing sensation to reckon with in the Indie space. Recently, in an interaction with Hindustan Times, Anuv Jain credited his 'minimalist approach' to songs that worked for him.

Despite sharing reels and being socially very present, the singer-songwriter has mixed views about success's direct relation to social media presence. He shared, "Number of reels is an important indicator of how well a song is doing. However, not everything has to go viral for it to be successful. I have some songs which didn't generate reels, but people shared them because they loved them and they have millions of views."

Speaking about how his life has not really changed after receiving fame, the 'Baarishein' singer added, "It's been pretty much the same. I am still the same guy. I wake up and my mom tells me to go and get bread. The day I get up late, there is a storm in the house! It's just that my career has become crazy of late. What I was doing four years back (he handled his family business) is so different from where I am in life right now. The people who listened to my music have changed my life."

Anuv is known for his baritone voice and simple chorded songs. He mostly sings about love and heartbreak and uses a guitar and ukulele, unaccompaied by percussion or other instruments.

His most popular tracks incluce 'Baarishein" (2018), "Alag Aasmaan" (2020), "Gul" (2021) and "Husn" (2023) , the latter of which has been ranking No. 1 on Apple Music India charts for all genres.

Anuv Jain hails from Ludhiana and has often shared that he writes songs to express his emotions. He has also added in numerous interviews that he gets inspiration from real life incidents and writes songs over a period of months.
