New Delhi: Noor Malabika Das, an actress and former air hostess, was found dead in her Mumbai residence. The police suspect that she died by suicide on June 6. Noor, who appeared in the acclaimed web series 'The Trial', was found at her Lokhandwala residence on June 8.


According to a Mid-Day story citing police sources, the incident was discovered last week when Noor's Lokhandwala apartment complex neighbours complained of a bad odour and contacted the Oshiwara Police. They found Noor's body hanging from a ceiling fan. Though they are still conducting their investigation, the police have first declared the death to be a suicide. In Noor's room, the police found her medication, cell phone, and diary. On Sunday, June 9, the police sent her corpse to Goregaon's Siddharth Hospital for the autopsy.


According to the report, the police attempted to contact her family, but no one came forward to claim the body. After this, her last rites were performed on Sunday. "We spoke to her family. They had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigation is underway," said one officer cited by Mid-Day.


Who is Noor Malabika Das?


Hailing from Assam, Noor, who is 32 years old, has starred in many Hindi web series. These include 'Siskiyaan', 'Backrod Hustle', 'Walkaman Upaya', and 'Charamsukh'. She co-starred with Kajol and Jisshu Sengupta in the Disney+ Hotstar series 'The Trial', in which she had a small role. 






According to many news outlets, Noor had previously worked as a flight attendant for Qatar Airways.

On Instagram, Noor often used to share photographs and videos of herself. She had over 163k followers on Instagram. Just five days ago, she uploaded a video of herself in a blingy short dress. She captioned it, "There is only one face and that is @noormalabika1 matching with no one else nd I no need to see the mirror my beauty is according to your reflection. My mirror is the world sometimes it’s sweet, sometimes better,sometimes silly, sometimes playful, sometimes naughty, sometimes jolly, sometimes kind, sometimes cool, sometimes fire, sometimes childish, sometimes matured.. according to the swing."
