New Delhi: Actress Radhika Apte posted a photo of herself and her fellow travellers 'locked’ in an airport aerobridge. On Saturday, Radhika shared a video and photos of herself on Instagram from the airport. It was her flight that got delayed and the airline employees had "absolutely no clue" about why. Radhika said that boarding had not begun at 10:50 a.m., even though the flight had been scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
Radhika Apte said that she had attempted to speak with airline personnel but had gotten no answers. Water and lavatory facilities were unavailable to dozens of passengers, including infants and the elderly.
Even though she didn't name the location or airline, the actress took to Instagram to vent her irritation over the flight's delay. She wrote, “I had to post this! Today morning I had an flight at 8:30. It’s 10:50 now and the flight has still not boarded. BUT the flight said we were boarding and put all the passengers in the aerobridge and LOCKED IT!”
The video that Radhika Apte released showed many individuals gathered behind a barred glass door. “The passengers with small babies, elderly people have been locked in for over an hour. The security won’t open the doors. The staff has ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE! Apparently their crew hasn’t boarded,” she wrote.
In her message, Radhika Apte went on to say that nobody knew what caused the aeroplane to be delayed. She added, “Apparently, their crew hasn’t boarded. The crew had the change and they are still waiting for new crew but they have no idea of when they will arrive so no one knows how long they’ll be locked inside. I managed to escape briefly to speak to the very stupid staff woman outside who kept saying there is no issue and no delay now I’m locked inside and they just told us that we will be here till minimum 12pm all locked in. No water no loo. Thanks for the fun ride!!”
Actress Konkona Sensharma commented, "Unbelievable".
Meanwhile, Radhika has not yet provided an update, it is unknown if the issue has been fixed or not.
