Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who is busy promoting his film Joram, told ABP News that though political parties have been offering him the opportunity to contest elections for the past 25 years, he is not interested in joining the politics.

During his conversation at ABP Newsroom, Manoj Bajpayee revealed that he has a deep interest in politics. When asked if he would showcase his prowess in the political arena, he responded, “It has been 25 years, and every time elections approach, rumors circulate in Bihar and my city that I am going to contest. Every time, a friend from there calls me to confirm whether Manoj Bajpayee is contesting from any party because he is also contesting elections from that parliamentary constituency for some party. I have to reassure him that I am not entering into politics.”

Manoj Bajpayee has clarified that he will not join politics. He stated that he wants to take his journey forward in acting for now. Speaking to ABP News, Manoj Bajpayee said, "My life is entirely that of an actor. The film industry directors have only utilised 25-30 percent of me so far. I have a lot more to give. In this life, I want to fully explore acting.”

It is worth noting that Manoj Bajpayee was born in Belwa village in Bihar and received his education there. Many actors with ties to this state, including Shatrughan Sinha, have entered politics. Therefore, during every election, questions arise about whether Manoj Bajpayee, too, will venture into politics after acting, but he has categorically denied any such possibility.

Interestingly, Manoj Bajpayee closely follows the politics of the country. He said, “The family in which I was born... from childhood, I have a keen interest in politics. I am very interested in analyzing politics and following the journey of any political personality.'

While discussing politics, Manoj Bajpayee also revealed that many of his friends ask him during elections about his predictions for the winners. He said, “I have many friends who call me and ask, "Manoj bhaiya, what do you think about who will win?" We have very deep conversations about politics.”

He also mentioned that in every election, parties approach him once to inquire if he would be interested in contesting. He said, 'Whether it's a state assembly election or a Lok Sabha election, every time, for the past 25 years, every party offers me a ticket and asks if I am interested in contesting.'

On the work front, Manoj's upcoming film 'Joram' promises an intense portrayal of survival, with the actor in a commanding role as a father on the run.

Directed and written by Devashish Makhija and produced by Shariq Patel, Ashima Avasthi Chaudhuri, Anupama Bose, and Devashish Makhija. The film stars Manoj and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
