In a heartbreaking incident on Friday (June 6, 2025), Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko and his family met with a severe road accident on the Dharmapuri national highway near Palacode. The crash claimed the life of his 70-year-old father, Sibi Chacko, who died on the spot.
Shine Tom Chacko and his mother, 65-year-old Maria Carmel, sustained injuries in the collision and were rushed to the Dharmapuri Government Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The family was reportedly travelling toward Bengaluru when their car collided with a lorry near Palayur. According to the Palacode police, the car is believed to have rammed into the truck from behind.
