Malaika Arora gets trolled
Malaika Arora walked the red carpet, gracefully posing for the cameras, with a video from the event quickly going viral on social media.
However, her return to the public eye sparked mixed reactions online. Some netizens criticized her for attending the event before the traditional mourning period had fully passed. One user questioned, "Your father has just passed away, and you've finished the mourning period already?" Another commented, "How easily she moved on!" A third even called it "shameful" for her to be at a festive event so soon after her loss.
Fans support Malaika
In contrast, many of Malaika’s fans came to her defence, highlighting the double standards faced by public figures when grieving in the public eye. "Just like we all return to work after 15-20 days when someone in our family passes away, this is her work. Let's respect it," one fan wrote. Another added, "People are so quick to judge! This is her job, and she’s still mourning privately." A third fan noted, "Public figures don’t need to be scrutinised at all times. She’s allowed to live her life while coping with her grief."
At the event, Malaika wore a stunning ivory saree with a gold border, accessorized with traditional jewellery, including a multi-layered pearl necklace and an emerald pendant. She posed with grace and composure, holding her pallu elegantly.
Recently, Malaika shared a hopeful message on her Instagram Story, quoting a Scorpio-themed page: "October will be good to you. Scorpio." As she looks ahead to her 51st birthday on October 23, she remains hopeful for brighter days amid her personal loss.
Close friends like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor have been a strong source of support, frequently visiting Malaika at her Bandra home to offer comfort during this challenging time.
