YouTuber Samay Raina has requested the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to allow him to record his statement via video conferencing, as he is currently abroad, amid the ongoing India's Got Latent controversy. However, the Cyber Cell denied his request, stating that he must appear in person. He has been summoned to record his statement on 18th February.
India’s Got Latent controversy
The controversy began when Samay Raina faced harsh criticism for Ranveer Allahbadia's 'sex with parents' joke on his show 'India's Got Latent', which was widely condemned as offensive and insensitive. The episode featured prominent content creators such as Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija.
During the show, Allahbadia posed an inappropriate question to a contestant, asking, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?"
Later, Samay announced on social media that he had removed all episodes of the show from his channel. He wrote, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”

As the show ended, Badshah shouted, “Free Samay Raina.” He thanked the administration and students for inviting him to the campus but did not provide further details on the matter.
The incident quickly spread on social media, with one user commenting, "Ain't no way Badshah yelled 'Free Samay Raina'.”
