Liam Payne death: Liam Payne, the British singer renowned for being part of the iconic boy band One Direction, has tragically passed away at the age of 31. The incident occurred on Wednesday when Payne reportedly fell from the third-floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Initial reports suggest that the star may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of his death, and new details are beginning to surface about his final hours.

A 911 call made by the hotel’s manager has been released, shedding light on the sequence of events leading up to the tragedy. 


According to TMZ report, Payne may have been intoxicated during his final moments. Allegedly, the singer caused a scene by smashing his laptop in the hotel lobby, which led hotel staff to escort him back to his room.  


Reuters also reported that the police were alerted about "an aggressive man possibly under the effects of drugs and alcohol." 


What the manager said on the 911 call


In an audio recording of the 911 call aired by an Argentine news channel, the hotel manager is heard expressing concern about the escalating situation. The manager stated, "We have a guest who is on drugs and is destroying the whole room, so we need someone to come." The call, as reported by Reuters, described the situation as dangerous, with the worker adding, "When he is conscious, he is destroying the entire room, and we need you to send someone." The manager also expressed fear for the guest’s safety, mentioning the balcony in his room as a potential danger.

Shortly after the call, the manager reportedly heard a loud noise from the back of the hotel. When authorities arrived, they discovered a man who had fallen from the balcony of his room. Buenos Aires police later confirmed that the individual was Liam Payne. 


The news of Payne’s death has devastated fans worldwide, with many gathering outside the hotel, embracing one another in grief. 


Liam Payne leaves behind his son Bear, whom he shares with British singer and television personality Cheryl, a former member of Girls Aloud.
